Tehran Province to Have Handicrafts Center

TEHRAN, June 16 (Mehr News Agency) –- The first Handicrafts Center is to open in Damavand, Tehran Province, in the near future.

A total of 700m rials has been allocated to the project, creating job opportunities in the region, the head of Tehran Handicrafts Department said on Sunday.

Iranian handicrafts such as carpets, kilims, mats, inlaid wood works, pottery, stone works, and textiles are some of the most important items that will go on display at the permanent venue.
